NetAlliant’s data center offers a prebuilt, leading edge information technology infrastructure. Our data center offers redundant power systems (flywheel
power system and diesel generator), redundant communications connection, environmental controls (air conditioning and dry fire suppression), and security (alarm system, surveillance cameras, smart card locks, and double doors).
Take advantage of our data center and realize cost savings while enhancing your organization’s technology capabilities. By collocating your critical servers with us or taking advantage of our hosted services, you will be saved enjoy the benefits that can only come from the economies of scale that we can offer along with best-of-breed technology that will help your organization to achieve its goals.
Our datacenter is cooled by two redundant units that provide true N+1 redundancy
in our HVAC systems. The units operate in tandem to provide the level of cooling
desired; the units can run singularly or simultaneously. The units are equipped
with failover cards to allow the units to operate in high availability mode. We
keep the operating temperature of our datacenter set at 69º F and control
humidity at 49% relative humidity.
To prevent both short and long term power disruptions (98% of power outages/disruptions
nationwide are less than 10 seconds), the NetAlliant facility is equipped with a UPS paired with
a flywheel power system. This system not only provides power redundancy, but also provides line voltage conditioning. Additionally, our facility is equipped with a 1000 gallon diesel generator. The generator is equipped with an automatic transfer switch which immediately turns the generator on when any power disruption is detected. With our generator capacity, we can run approximately 1 week before refueling. NetAlliant maintains agreements for uninterruptible fuel supply.
We have a service agreement which includes regularly scheduled preventive maintenance checks. The generator is also test run every Monday morning for 15 minutes to verify operability.
NetAlliant provides double door security on all entrances to the building with the first door of each entrance requiring a key. The second door is protected by a
card access system and a video surveillance system. Additionally, NetAlliant receives
professional security and fire alarm services. Each NetAlliant’ associate is provided with a unique PIN to the security alarm system and knows how to set-off the panic alarm in case of emergency. All entrances are secured by the security system. Additionally, all servers and cabinets remain locked unless they are undergoing active maintenance.

A dry powder fire suppression system protects both the data center and the second floor area which is directly above the data center. This system works
via quick cooling rather than oxygen reduction. As such, both equipment and
personnel are protected. A sprinkler system protects the front office and reception area. A central alarm panel connects both systems and is, itself, connected to an alarm system in the adjoining building, which is separated from the NetAlliant building by a firewall. An autodial telephone system notifies the alarm company of any fire alarm. The alarm company then notifies the fire department, which has a station only 4 or 5 blocks away. A fire proof safe (rated to keep contents safe 2 hours in a major fire) is used to store backup tapes onsite before they are cycled offsite to a bank safety deposit box.
